have several "go to" recipes and this applesauce cake has been one of my "go to" desserts since the beginning of my vegan journey. It's so simple and doesn't require much other than measuring a few ingredients. I've taken it to work several times and it flies off the plate. My family loves it too!
These are my favorite black bean brownies. I have tried other versions, but keep coming back to this recipe. Don’t mistake these brownies for a healthy recipe just because they include black beans. With all of this sugar, these are nowhere near healthy…but they do taste good!
Smoothies, especially those with frozen fruit are an ideal dessert for summer. You probably already have your own recipe for your favorite smoothie. Just in case you don't, here are a 6 ideas. Throw everything in the blender, pour and enjoy!
think popsicles and ice pops are the same thing but I've seen both names used around the web. This a cool treat that you might normally buy, but it would be more fun to make at home. You could make any flavor you want and not worry about dairy being listed in the ingredients list.
This recipe does require you to heat up your kitchen just a bit, but the result is a cool, creamy cheesecake that bears quite a resemblance to the traditional dairy-based version. I tasted this cheesecake for the first time last month at a vegetarian cookout and it was delicious!
During my research for this series, I ran across this delicious looking no bake fudge pie. Being a chocolate lover, I had to throw it in. It's very similar to a chocolate pudding recipe that I've made so it makes me think that that could easily go into a pie shell as well. I'm including that recipe as well as another chocolate pudding recipe without tofu.
I don't know about the weather where you live, but here in Virginia it is definitely summer. And that means that it's time for cool desserts. Over the next few weeks, we'll be featuring these desserts. Give them a try. You might be surprised at how good they are!
